Good news for some Pakistanis! The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has restarted the visa waiver for Pakistani citizens who hold diplomatic and official passports, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Monday.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar shared that he recently met with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, both countries agreed to give visa-free access to each other’s diplomatic and official passport holders.
Ishaq Dar said that both sides signed a special Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make this deal official and active. It was agreed that the visa waiver would start 30 days after the MoU was signed.
He also mentioned that UAE officials have now confirmed this visa-free facility for Pakistani passport holders. From July, all UAE airports are allowing visa-free entry for these categories of travelers.
Ishaq Dar added that the same type of visa-free facility is now also active for UAE citizens when they arrive at airports in Pakistan.
