Lahore: The Punjab government has announced new school timings for all educational institutions across the province. The new schedule will stay in effect until March 31, 2026.
According to details, the new timings have been set due to the arrival of the winter season. The notification was issued by the School Education Department, stating that the schedule has been implemented from October 16, 2025, and will remain effective until March 31, 2026.
Under the new schedule, single-shift boys’ schools will open from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM (Monday to Thursday), and on Friday, classes will continue until 12:30 PM.
Single-shift girls’ schools will run from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday to Thursday), while on Friday, classes will end at 12:15 PM.
For double-shift boys’ schools, the first shift will run from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM (Monday to Thursday) and until 12:30 PM on Friday. The second shift will operate from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and until 2:00 PM on Friday.
In double-shift girls’ schools, the morning shift will continue from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Monday to Thursday) and until 12:15 PM on Friday. The afternoon shift will be from 12:45 PM to 4:45 PM (Monday to Thursday) and from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM on Friday.
According to the School Education Department, these changes have been made considering the winter weather conditions to ensure smooth and continuous learning for students.
All educational institutions have been strictly instructed to follow the new schedule and make sure it is implemented properly.
