There is an important update about the water supply situation in Karachi. Even though repair work has been completed, the water supply has still not been restored.
According to details, the Water Corporation shared an important statement about the repair work on the city’s water pipelines. They said that repair work at two locations of the North East Pumping Station and in Dhabeji was completed by 1 AM last night. However, even after 12 hours, water supply in the affected areas has not been restored.
In many parts of Karachi — including Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Safoora, Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Gulberg, and Federal B Area — residents are still facing water shortages for the fifth day. This has caused serious problems for people living in these neighborhoods.
The Water Corporation said that water supply has been restored at three hydrants — NIPA, Safoora, and Sakhi Hassan — so that people can get water temporarily through tankers.
A spokesperson for the Water Corporation stated that the water supply system is being restored step by step after the repair work. They added that water supply in the affected areas is expected to start by 3 PM today.
